Start from the Intermediate freeride area, in Funicamp
Encampadana, Funicamp’s intermediate area, and the Canals de Llosada, are “Freeride” locations of Soldeu – El Tarter. We traveled the off-piste area around GRANDVALIRA, covering a distance of about 52km over 4 hours stopping occasionally along the way. During our visit, we repeated 2 different descents in Llosada, 2 descents by the Corb and the Voltor, and a pair of descents in different parts of Bosc de Solanelles (one of our preferred forests).
It isn’t often we get a day like the one on which we filmed (14/2/2017), but the NWPD Team is always on alert for the perfect “Powder Day”. At some points the visibility was scarce as we saw on the descent of the intermediate trail in Funicamp. All the itineraries have different levels of difficulty, such as those with the highest slope; the Canals de Llosada and the Freeride area of Encampadana. Others have intermediate difficulty such as the Bosc de Solanelles or the Corb and for the beginners there are the soft descents such as the route from the Tosa dels espiolets by l’Ós to the TSD6 of La Solana.

Canals of Llosada. In this trail we went down the last 2 to the right of the last bollard.

We leave you with a video of the best moments of our tour so that you have more of an idea about the location.
There are many areas left to shoot and there is so much still to discover but we will have to leave all that for another day of freeride when we have the time to explore more on foot.
